My turnout controls seem to fascinate visitors to my layout. While it was torn down in the move to a new-to-us house, I thought it would be a good opportunity to show how I built manual turnout throws using Caboose Industries ground throws mounted to the side of the layout rather than on the turnout itself. I did this because I didn't like the oversize look of the ground throws when mounted next to the switch, yet I wanted manual control. See also the gallery "Ground Throws and Facia at Elva."
