I like the feel of throwing switches manually, but the readily available Caboose Industries ground throws are horribly out of scale. Some time in the late '70 or early '80s, I came up with a way to use them mounting them on the fascia. This also means that the fascia should be applied before the switch throws are applied, but I haven't always done that. The installations around Elva gave me the chance to show how I do it.
