My basement looked just like yours when I moved in. It was amazing how much space I gained when I started putting things together and started to empty out boxes. When I move to the house I had about 10 moving boxes of train stuff along with 90 copy paper boxes full of stuff. You look under my layout now and there are only about maybe 8 paper boxes left and they all have scenery stuff in them. Scenery is the hardest to get started on but after you do it goes pretty smooth. I put up too much rock work on mine and it took a year to do it. Now I need to plant trees and finish that part up. Good luck on the layout, looks like you have a good start.
